2024 was a busy year in Norfolk County, and it doesn’t look to be slowing down any time soon in 2025.
We sat down with Mayor Amy Martin looking at the year that was and ahead to the future.
While Norfolk had it’s challenges, there was a lot to celebrate last year.
She said Norfolk also saw a lot of shovels in the ground as well.
Grant funding was a blessing last year as well, addressing several concerns.
Sticking to water, more changes are on the way in 2025 as well as looking at other hot button issues.
She’s also excited to a movement started in 2024 continue, bringing more affordable and student housing to the area.
In 2024, Martin was also selected as the candidate for the PC’s in the upcoming Provincial election.
While the prospect of a Spring election is now more in question than ever with a looming Federal election, Martin is still excited to see how this plays out.
Martin has been collecting some of her thoughts of 2024 on her social media page.
