The Haldimand Norfolk Housing Corporation (HNHC) is proud to announce the grand opening of its Affordable Student Housing project in Simcoe. Developed in partnership with Fanshawe College, Norfolk County Council, and the Service Manager, the project has transformed two social housing units at 77/79 Oakwood Avenue into housing for up to seven Fanshawe College students. Matt Bowen, CEO of HNHC spoke at today’s ribbon cutting.
Bowen, praised the collaboration, calling it a step toward meeting local housing needs in the Haldimand Norfolk community.
Donna Gates, Associate Dean of Fanshawe College, Simcoe Campus, highlighted the project’s importance to the student community.
Gates, emphasized how affordable housing allows students to focus on their studies.
This initiative reflects HNHC’s commitment to delivering innovative housing solutions and addressing the needs of Norfolk County residents.
