The Invasive Species Centre, with support from the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources, has announced a new round of funding through the Invasive Species Action Fund (ISAF).
Designed to combat Ontario’s most harmful invasive plants, aquatics, and forest pests, the Fund offers municipalities, conservation authorities, Indigenous communities, and non-profits opportunities to secure grants.
Three funding streams are available:
Microgrants: Up to $3,500 for community-driven projects.
Accelerated Impact: Up to $15,000 for priority-area initiatives.
Transformative Action: Up to $50,000 for large-scale interventions.
Invasive species are a major threat to Ontario’s biodiversity, causing $3.6B in annual damages to agriculture, forestry, and tourism.
