The Norfolk OPP are looking into two suspicious fires in Simcoe and Langton.
On Tuesday night, three separate, unoccupied structures were on fire on Fourteenth Street West in Simcoe.
A barn, used for storage with no animals inside, was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived.
Crews from Simcoe, Waterford, Teeterville, and Delhi stations battled the flames.
No injuries were reported, but the barn and its contents were completely destroyed, a dollar value of the loss is not yet available.
Then in the early morning hours on Wednesday a two-story house on 10th Concession Road was destroyed in a fire.
Norfolk County Fire Department crews from Langton, Delhi, Port Rowan, and St. Williams stations responded.
The house was unoccupied at the time, and no injuries were reported.
Despite firefighters’ efforts, the structure was a complete loss and no dollar loss estimate has been released.
Both fires are considered suspicious, and the Norfolk County OPP Crime Unit is conducting ongoing investigations in conjunction with the Office of the Fire Marshal.
