Norfolk OPP are asking for public help to identify a man suspected of using a stolen credit card at several Simcoe businesses.
On Tuesday, October 29th, around 3 p.m., OPP officers from the Norfolk County Detachment investigated a theft report on Imperial Street in Delhi. Police say that between Friday (October 25th) and Saturday (October 26th), one or more people broke into a parked vehicle, stealing the owner’s wallet.
The victim’s credit card was later used for purchases at multiple businesses in Simcoe, including one on Norfolk Street South, between Sunday (October 27th), and Tuesday (October 29th).
The suspect is described as a Caucasian male in his 40s, wearing a black baseball cap, sunglasses, a black hoodie, and grey overalls. Police have released photos of the suspect and encourage anyone with information to come forward.
The OPP is urging all residents in the community to ensure that their vehicles are locked, and valuables are removed. If any community member notices suspicious activity, please contact the police.
