In the spirit of remembrance and honouring our veterans, communities in the area have organized several meaningful Remembrance Day services and events.
Residents are encouraged to join a local ceremony or take a moment to remember and reflect on the contributions of our veterans and active service members. Services will be held in communities across Norfolk County.
November 10
- Fairground: Legion Sunday Service – 11:00 a.m.
- Teeterville: Parade begins at Women’s Institute – 1:30 p.m. proceeding to the The Wagner Memorial, Teeterville Legion Branch 526 – 1:45 p.m.
November 11
- Delhi: Cenotaph on King Street – 11:00 a.m.
- Port Dover: Parade begins at the Legion -10:30 a.m. proceeding to Cenotaph in Powell Park – 11:00 a.m.
- Port Rowan: Cenotaph on Lakeshore Rd, West of Ellis St. – 11:00 a.m.
- Simcoe: Carillon Tower – 11:00 a.m.
- St. Williams: Cenotaph on Townline St. and Queen St. – 11:30 a.m.
- Waterford: Cenotaph at Old Town Hall – 11:00 a.m.
These events provide an opportunity for the community to come together, reflect, and pay tribute to those who have served their country. Remembering their sacrifices is an essential part of our shared history. #Lestweforget
