The Kettle Campaign at the Salvation Army begins next Friday.
Kettle Coordinator Doug Montgomery says there are a lot of wheels turning behind the scenes until then, and one thing you can do to help – is volunteer.
Those two hour blocks can be divided anyway someone sees fit.
Whether it’s a shift on the weekend, before work, or anything in between.
Montgomery says while the need is great everywhere, they always seem to struggle the most to get volunteers in Delhi.
He goes over the window for volunteering.
Every year they get students looking for volunteer hours as well, which they love to accept.
The only thing of note is students must be at least 16-years-old.
For anyone who is looking to volunteer, all they ask if that you bring a positive attitude.
You can call the Salvation Army to speak with him to schedule a shift or contact his phone, usually available from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., at 519-909-9421.
