It was the final week of high school football’s regular season, and oh boy, did it bring the drama! The Valley Heights Bears hosted the Cayuga Warriors Wednesday night in a thriller! Down 21-13 on the final play, the Bears scored a miracle touchdown with no time left. Then, BAM! A two-point conversion tied it up at 21-21. You couldn’t write a better ending!
On Friday, the Delhi Raiders took on the Holy Trinity Titans. Titan’s running back Ryan Hale was sidelined and the Raiders were missing quarterback JD Zurby, however the Raiders didn’t miss a beat, cruising to a 35-3 win.
Friday night saw the Simcoe Sabres finish their season 5-0, bulldozing the Pauline Johnson Thunderbirds 29-7 in Brantford.
And in Waterford, the Pumpkin Bowl saw the McKinnon Park Blue Devils flip the script on the Waterford Wolves, winning 41-21 after trailing at half.
Get ready! Playoffs start Friday with the Thunderbirds facing the unbeaten Sabres and the Raiders battling the Blue Devils!
