The RBC Foundation has donated $30,000 to Lynnwood Arts’ Indigenous Artist Project, “We Are Called,” in Simcoe. This is the third year the RBC Foundation has supported the project, which celebrates and promotes Indigenous culture through the arts.
Kim Shippey, Executive Director of Lynnwood Arts, expressed gratitude for the donation, highlighting how it helps preserve Indigenous stories and traditions. Dolly Sharma, RBC VP Commercial, emphasized the importance of working with Indigenous communities to build a brighter future.
The exhibition welcomed over 2,500 school children, who participated in workshops led by Lynnwood’s artist-in-residence Michael Barber and other featured artists, including January Rogers, Savannah Skye-Smith, Delbert Jonathan, and Shayde Sandy.
