Tomorrow (Tuesday) is the start of the Norfolk County Fair and Horse Show.
Celebrating 184 years, the Fair simply wouldn’t be the fair if it didn’t start off with Young Canada Day.
For those new to the area, this is where students head down to the grand stands to compete in several competitions to see which Norfolk school reigns supreme.
The General Manager of the Norfolk Agricultural Society, Angela Hogeveen, says it’s an event that not only brings students together, but their parents, grandparents, and more.
For people who grew up in Norfolk, simply saying Young Canada Day can stir up emotions but with new people constantly coming to the community, it is sometimes hard to put down in words what it’s all about.
Last year, Simcoe Composite School took the top title, ending several years of dominance by the Delhi Raiders.
Our own Jeremy Hall will streaming the events tomorrow live, starting at 9 a.m.
