NFL Hall of Famer Brett Favre, a three-time MVP, revealed his Parkinson’s disease diagnosis while testifying before Congress today. Favre, 54, appeared before the House Ways and Means Committee, where he addressed allegations of misusing $2 million in welfare funds. The money was allegedly raised for Prevacus, a company focused on concussion research. Favre denies the accusations and has not been criminally charged.
Parkinson’s disease affects the nervous system, causing uncontrollable movements. Currently, there is no cure for the condition.
