Members of the community will “Paddle for Purpose” this Saturday as the Grand River Rafting & Tubing Charity Challenge takes over the Brant Conservation Area.
While registration is closed, you can still support the nonprofit organization, Men Ending Trafficking, as they work to raise funds to aid victims impacted by human trafficking and sexual exploitation.
The carefully selected volunteer team aims to provide safety, assurance, emotional support, and a barrier for victims testifying against their trafficker in court. They also assist in relocating victims and their family members from hazardous living conditions to safe environments and deliver awareness and advocacy messaging designed to deter the funding of human trafficking.
The challenge kicks off at 9:30 a.m., with full details on our Community Calendar.
