Suzanne and Dan Avey, residents of Norfolk County, will be the new owners of the beloved Kingfisher Cafe in downtown Simcoe. Known for their love of coffee and their commitment to community, the couple will take over operations on August 1st. The Cafe will be closed briefly for the month of August to accommodate renovations. It will reopen Tuesday, September 3rd, with a grand reopening planned for later in the month.
We got to chat with Suzanne and she had a message for the Kingfisher’s patrons.
Suzanne, a dedicated coffee enthusiast, envisions the Kingfisher Cafe as a warm and welcoming space where people can be themselves.
Dan, bringing a keen business sense, shares this passion and aims to create a thriving community hub. The couple have plans to host events, like book readings, art workshops and therapy talks. Additionally, they plan to expand their menu to include more breakfast and lunch options.
Suzanne and Dan are very community oriented and feel they are making an investment in the area.
For updates on their progress, Suzanne and Dan encourage patrons to follow the Kingfisher Cafe on Instagram.
