Last Wednesday (July 17th), the Haldimand-Norfolk Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), assisted by the Provincial Joint Forces Cannabis Enforcement Team (PJFCET), executed two Cannabis Act search warrants in Haldimand County. These warrants were carried out at addresses on Main Street in Dunnville and Cayuga Street in Cayuga.
During the searches, police seized illegal cannabis, cannabis products, and Canadian currency valued at approximately $200,000.
A 55-year-old from Hamilton has been charged with obtaining or offering to obtain cannabis by any method or process, possessing cannabis for the purpose of selling, and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000. Additionally, a 32-year-old and a 33-year-old, both from Dunnville, have been charged with possessing cannabis for the purpose of selling and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000.
All accused are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga at a later date.
