Norfolk General Hospital (NGH) and the Norfolk Hospital Nursing Home (NHNH) announced the end of the Code Grey, with phone systems now restored.
A power surge on Tuesday, July 9th was responsible for the hospital-wide disruption. NGH and NHNH wants to extend their appreciation to patients, families, and the community for their patience. Gratitude also goes to the I.T. team and Bell for their swift restoration efforts.
Throughout Code Grey, patient care remained the priority. Staff, physicians, and volunteers delivered exceptional care despite the challenges. The Emergency Department stayed open and fully operational, with all scheduled appointments proceeding as planned.
The public can now reach the hospital and nursing home via the main line at (519) 426-0130.
