
Norfolk OPP have released a long list of charges following a collision at the Port Dover lift bridge yesterday.
At approximately 8:00 a.m. yesterday OPP, Norfolk County Paramedic Services and the Norfolk County Fire Department, responded to a collision involving a pickup truck and a sedan. Both drivers sustained minor injuries.
After assessing the pickup truck driver’s sobriety, they were taken into custody without incident. Officers discovered and seized a quantity of suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, and hydromorphone (Dilaudid) during a search of the pickup truck.
A 35-year-old woman from Niagara Falls, is charged with the following alleged offences:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs,
- Dangerous operation,
- Driving while under suspension,
- Drive motor vehicle, no currently validated permit,
- Possession of a Schedule I substance – methamphetamine,
- Possession of a Schedule I substance – opioid (other than heroin),
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – opioid (other than heroin).
The accused is scheduled to appear at a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice located in Simcoe.
