The Fairgrounds Festival is set to kick off Friday and Saturday.
The event will once again be hosted by JR Digs.
He is anticipating another two days of fun, just like last year.
He talked about how Mumford and Sons came to town many years ago, something still talked about to this day, but then there was no follow up to bring rock back to Norfolk – until the Fairgrounds festival.
Now Norfolk is getting big stand alone rock bands, and on Saturday, a few hybrid bands made for rock lovers.
Digs is looking forward to seeing locals there, but knows that a lot of people will be travelling down to Norfolk as well.
Digs works closely with these bands and talked about why they would love coming here.
He talked about the beautiful trip in on the road, and how many big bands stay at cottages by the water instead of in hotel rooms.
It’s those little things the bands notice and share.
Digs credits the Norfolk Agricultural Society for their vision when it comes to this event, while also thanking Norfolk County for their Amplify Norfolk initiative and Edward Jones for all the support.
He is looking forward to many more years of rock in Norfolk.
