The Norfolk Night Market returns to the Fairgrounds beginning this Friday.
Starting back in 2022, General Manager of the Norfolk County Agricultural Society Angela Hogeveen says the event sees local vendors, food trucks, and entertainment gather for a family-friendly night out.
Last year, the event was combined with the first-ever Fairgrounds Festival.
But after reflecting on 2023’s event, they felt the Night Market needed its own space.
While local goods and food will be the big hook of the event, the Ag society is putting a lot of effort into finding ways to keep people there after the shopping or eating is done.
As an example, there are planned events people can take part in during the Friday and Saturday night festivities.
With all of that, it is a beehive of activity with our Agricultural Society.
The decision to split the Fairgrounds Festival and the Norfolk Night Market means they now have back-to-back weekend events, with live music coming to the community next weekend and the Night Market taking place this Friday and Saturday.
98.9 myFM and Oldies 99.7 will be live on location this Friday from 1 to 5 p.m., giving everyone a preview of what they can expect once the gates open at 3 and then chatting with the crowds as they start to flood in.
The Norfolk Night Market runs from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. both Friday and Saturday.
There is a $5 admission fee, but kids 12 and under are free.
Parking on site will be free as well.
