St. Vincent de Paul celebrated 65 years of serving their local communities this past weekend!
St. Vincent de Paul of St. Mary’s Parish in Simcoe deliveries emergency food to their Neighbours in Need with the program starting with 2 members supplying food to a couple people per week only to grow into an organization of close to 100 members providing food to 30 – 40 families per week.
In 2023, they made 1,670 deliveries to residents in Simcoe, Waterford and Delhi.
These deliveries served 3,242 adults and 1,312 children.
Unfortunately, this is an increase of over 1,000 adults and 500 children over the previous year in 2022.
And in 2024 the need for their services continue to increase by approximately 50 calls per month.
