Haldimand-Norfolk MPP Bobbi Ann Brady upset with the fact that she was initially told that she was not allowed to speak for International Women’s Day.
Yesterday, she said the government denied Independents (including Liberal, the new Green member and herself) the ability to speak in the House commemorating the day.
While, after a press conference between these members took place, the government went back on this decision – Brady was still not pleased this took place at all.
She believes this is a slippery slope for the government silencing voices that are not their own, starting with something like International Women’s Day.
