An update to a story we brought you last week regarding Seasonal Paid Parking in Norfolk’s lakefront communities.
In Wednesday’s meeting Council amended the previous motion to continue paid parking in Port Dover.
Council voted in favour of continuing the paid parking program for Port Dover, but the amendment removed Elmer Lewis from the list of lots that would be affected. It also added the angled parking spaces on Harbour St. east of the Port Dover Harbour Marina.
As reported previously, paid parking will continue in Port Dover’s parking lots on Clinton St and Harbour St and now the addition of the angled spaces on Harbour, from 10 ’til 6 at $4 per hour.
All other parking will return to the original bylaw of 2 hour free parking with enforcement.
The vote to continue the paid parking program was not unanimous supported, with Councillor Huffman (Ward 7) and Councillor Veri (Ward 6) voting against the motion.
