January 17th would have been Betty White’s 102nd birthday and the Simcoe and District Humane Society wants to do something fun for this year’s #BettyWhiteChallenge.
“Hot Dogs for a Cause” celebrates Betty White’s love for animals by raising money for the shelter, and it also celebrates her favourite food- hot dogs!
From now until the 17th, you can purchase a paper hot dog for a $5 donation by visiting Ruffin’s Pet Centres in Simcoe, or swing by the shelter at 24 Grigg Drive.
Supporters can add their name, someone else’s name, or a message to the paper hot dog, and they will be displayed in the store and at the shelter.
You can also donate via e-transfer to finance@s-dhs.ca, just put Betty White Challenge in the subject line and the Humane Society will fill out your hot dog for you.
