The West Haldimand General Hospital recognized its staff members earlier this month at its annual Quality Award of Excellence ceremony.
This year’s Quality Award of Excellence went to Ian Mitchell, a member of West Haldimand’s maintenance team.
Nominated by his colleagues, Mitchell is also a volunteer firefighter and says he’s seen firsthand the impact kindness can have on people during times of stress.
The WHGH also presented the Quality Award of Excellence group award during the ceremony.
Taking it this year was the Food Services Team, who are responsible for creating meals for both patients and staff.
CEO and President Todd Stepanuik thanked all the nominees and recipients for their teamwork and dedication to providing quality care for their patients.
