Routes to Roots Film Festival is getting into the holiday spirit with “A Community Christmas” event coming up December 16th.
Choose between two films being shown at the Strand Movie Theatre, both with a timely message of community spirit. We sat down with Jim Carrol who explains what they’ve chosen for the youngsters.
But that’s not all!
As they look to bring a bout of Christmas spirit to Simcoe that afternoon, Carrol says costumes and ugly sweaters will be welcomed!
Carrol adds that this is just another fun way they can connect with the community outside of their annual festival.
And in doing so, encourages more traffic to the downtown.
Routes to Roots Film Festival: A Community Christmas is taking place December 16th beginning at 3:30 p.m., with admission being $5.
They will also collecting non-perishable food items in support of the Simcoe Caring Cupboard and you’ll get a cookie as a thank-you if you donate!
