The Port Dover Legion Branch 158 hosted Bike Nights this past summer, which were hugely successful and very well attended, and which saw lots of money raised.
While the Legion is well known for their support of veterans, they are also very involved in supporting our local communities.
Legion President Walter Breen was in studio chatting with us for our Legion features we are running this week and he mentioned that through the funds raised at bike night, they were able to help make a “grande” dream come true for one local young man.
Owen Bilinsky attended the Legion on Saturday morning to receive the two cheques from the Legion and from the Ladies Auxillary that will help see him head to Mexico to play baseball representing Norfolk County.
The Legion and the Ladies Auxillary are very proud of this young man and are thrilled to have played a part in his journey to play ball in Mexico later this month.
