Music will continue to resonate in Simcoe Composite School thanks to the 100 Women Who Care Norfolk.
The group presented the school with $17,300 to put towards the music program.
The money is going to be used to buy new instruments, replacing ones that are 20 years old.
This money is needed, as new instruments add up. A single French horn can cost $2,100, clarinet is $600, saxophone $1,100, and a trombone $600, to name a few.
The various band programs throughout the school travel the province with these instruments, performing at the Norfolk County Fair, Norfolk Musical Arts Festival, and the Golden Horseshoe Music Festival in Ancaster.
