The Simcoe and District Humane Society is hosting an adoption event with a twist this weekend.
On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday you can pull a ticket that may give you a percentage of your adoption fee turned into a tax deductible donation, or 50 per cent off your adoption fee.
There is also the chance to win a toy, litter pan, or a set of bowls with each donation. They are hoping to give their senior and timid animals homes this weekend.
The adoption event is happening from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day at their 24 Grigg Drive, Simcoe, address and during store hours at Ruffins in Simcoe.
Also this weekend they are running a foster and donation drive, looking for people to foster puppies and young adult dogs until they are ready for adoption.
In terms of donations, towels, cloths, 10 mL slip tip syringes, dry cat and kitten food, puppy training pads, and unscented, non-clumping cat litter is needed.
While you’re at the Humane Society on Saturday and Sunday you can also enjoy their charity BBQ from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
