The new Media Relations and Community Safety Officer has been hired in Norfolk.
Earlier this month, Constable Ed Sanchuk announced his move to a new position within the OPP, opening up a spot he had held for many years.
The person taking on the role is a familiar name and face to many – Andrew Gamble.
The Norfolk native talked to us about the new role, and the legacy he is following.
The community got to know and rely Sanchuk and his frequent updates – and he assures them that the important information will keep on coming.
Gamble is no stranger to taking on some tough questions, frequently speaking with kids in the community and in classroom – taking their unfiltered questions.
He says his years of time in the OPP, and outside of it, lead him to this role.
Gamble was featured in a segment called “Unsung Heroes” back in 2021, where it talked about it background and his connection to Norfolk.
