From Waterford Minor Hockey to the Isobel Cup.
Norfolk County’s Elaine Chuli has made it a long way in her hockey career, most recently bringing home the Premier Hockey Federation’s cup with the Toronto Six.
She went through a quick history of her hockey career.
The goaltender was among the top five picks made for the expansion team in 2020, making the win this year even more special.
Since its inception the team has made it to the playoffs every year, but this year was different making it to the final round.
They used what they learned the last two seasons and used it to their advantage.
After losing their first playoff game in their three-game series against the Connecticut Whale, but brought it back winning the next two.
They then travelled to Arizona to meet the Minnesota Whitecaps in the finals.
When asked what advice she has to give to young Norfolk girls just starting their hockey careers, she says to dream big.
Chuli extended her thanks to the members of her support group for getting her to where she is today.
The goaltender allowed only nine goals against throughout the playoffs, and claimed a shutout in one of the four games.
