A Simcoe native is one of the recipients of a $40,000 scholarship.
Grace Nunn has been awarded the Wilfrid Laurier University’s Scholars Award.
Laurier calls this the school’s most prestigious entrance scholarship, supporting high-achieving students in their studies.
Along with the $40,000 given over four years, the students are also awarded $10,000 towards an experiential learning opportunity.
The Valley Heights Secondary School graduate is in her second year at the Brantford campus.
Nunn’s faculty mentor, Assistant Professor Tarah Hodgkinson, is collaborating with her to conduct research on social disorders in Brantford.
After completing her undergraduate degree, Nunn plans on pursuing graduate studies in criminology, community health or social epidemiology.
