As events start to return to Norfolk County, the Simcoe Lions are preparing for a classic.
The Simcoe Lions Club’s 69th Annual Variety Show is set to hit the stage in April.
The group hasn’t been able to put on a show since 2019 as a result of the pandemic restrictions.
Terry Sheppard, a member of the club, said it means a lot to get back to the show.
This year’s theme is 2023 World Tour, with songs from around the world. It is the show that was planned for 2020, so the planning didn’t go to waste.
The show gets each Lion involved.
He said this is one of the few events that gets the whole club together, and it really helps them bond as a group.
The best way to support the show is by getting your tickets early.
Tickets are available at Max Convenience on Colborne Street South in Simcoe, or by calling 519-426-8562. The money raised by the shows stays in Norfolk County through different Lions projects.
The shows run on Friday, April 21, and Saturday, April 22, in the Simcoe Composite School Lions Auditorium.
