Accessible street signage will be coming to Norfolk County.
At their meeting on Wednesday, Council approved a staff recommendation to allow residents to apply to have signs near their home to let drivers know they are travelling through an area that may have an individual with a disability present.
The signs will include the Universal Symbol of Accessibility along with a tab that identifies the disability.
The application for the signs asks if the individual is living with deafness or hearing loss, blindness or vison loss, or autism.
An annual renewal will be required to take place.
