A private funeral is set to be held this morning for an Ontario Provincial Police officer who was shot dead in an ambush attack last week.
The O-P-P says the service for 28-year-old Constable Greg Pierzchala will start at 11 a-m at the Sadlon Arena in his hometown of Barrie.
Pierzchala’s family will be joined by members of the O-P-P, other police services and first responders, Canadian Armed Forces members and officials including Premier Doug Ford.
Pierzchala was shot dead while responding to a call for a vehicle in a ditch west of Hagersville on December 27th.
The funeral service will be live streamed on OPP social media channels.
