Things are getting brighter in Jarvis and Townsend.
The Jarvis Light Up is back again this year with more homes than ever signing up to show off their Christmas Spirit – an idea that originally started back in the early days of COVID and has just blossomed since.
That was “Elf” Lisa Nigh.
When this first started, some 200 homes competed for the prizes up for grabs.
Now, an estimate 450 are likely to sign up with the expansion to Townsend.
Registration closes at the end of this week with over $8K in prizes are up for grabs.
They did switch it up this year, instead of three big prizes handed out in total they are handing out three prizes to homes in 8 districts – the idea being to encourage even more people to get into the festive spirit ahead of the tour.
The big winners from 8 of the districts will have a special seat on December the 16th as well for a big celebration that is being planned.
With that, there is lots of fun happening right now for the whole family.
Jarvis the Elf, for example, is becoming a big deal.
Also, starting tonight and going tomorrow – instead of a “parade” – the Jarvis Light Up crew is bringing fun to neighbourhoods around Jarvis and Townsend.
