Hidden Gems Day presented by Breezewood Floors and Fanshawe College.
We are featuring the Who Did It Club.
The Who Did It Club was established in 1944 as soldiers started returning from war.
That was president Gary Haviland.
The group of 25 volunteers loans hospital type equipment to the community for short-term recovery needs.
The service is entirely free of charge, but donations upon returning the equipment are appreciated.
Haviland said it is rented in three-month periods, but if someone needs something for longer than that they just need to contact the club and let them know.
With the club being fully run by volunteers, they each have a day or weekend that they are on call to respond to those in need of equipment.
The group runs fundraisers throughout the year.
If you need to access the services of the club contact them at 519-428-0271.
Haviland added the staff at local hospitals, nursing homes, and other services often connect people with the club to help with getting equipment to those that need it.
