Hidden Gems Day presented by Breezewood Floors and Fanshawe College.
We are profiling the Studio at the Simcoe Branch of the Norfolk County Public Library and the cool tech across their branches.
We spoke with Carly Majik, Technical Library Coordinator, down in the studio.
They had planned a big launch for the space, but then COVID-19 hit and it sat still for some time.
Now, they are ready to have people join the fun.
This is part of a big push from the library to open new doors for people to learn at their libraries.
They also have pianos, drums, and guitars in the studio – but you are welcome to bring your own from home as well.
They also are looking to engage the community through their makerspaces.
You can pop into these branches and use the equipment if it’s free, but they do suggest calling ahead first in order check availability.
