A number of debates are scheduled for the upcoming municipal election.
On September 14 the Simcoe and District Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Mayoral Debate at the Royal Canadian Legion in Simcoe. Doors open at 6 p.m., with the debate running from 6:30 to 9 p.m.
The next day, the Chambers is hosting the Ward 5 candidates debate at the same time and location.
Also on Thursday, The Waterford Chamber of Commerce is hosting the Ward 7 candidates debate at Old Town Hall in Waterford. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. with the debate running from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
September 29 will see The Long Point Country Chamber of Commerce debate at 7 p.m. being held at the Port Rowan Community Centre. This will include the Ward 1 and mayoral candidates.
Next month, Delhi & District Chamber of Commerce is hosting a debate for the candidates of Wards 2, 3, and 4, along with the mayoral candidates on October 6. This event, being held at the Delhi German Home, begins at 7 p.m.
The time and location for the Ward 6 debate has not yet been announced.
