It started off as a fun challenge.
Kaia Rianne Foucault was in Grade 8, when she was told all the benefits of volunteering when it came to a resume – so she set a goal.
For high school students, in order to graduate, you need to do 40 volunteer hours helping out in your community and Kaia decided to set her target at 500.
She quickly met that target, and has spent her secondary school years moving the target further and further back to now over 2000 hours.
Kaia secures most of her hours helping out at Purrfect companions in Delhi but also helps out wherever needed whether it be at school or a church event, a community event like the panorama, or even area businesses or service clubs looking for assistance.
She has all her credits and will be going to post secondary school in the near future but is spending as much time helping out while she still can.
