The 4th Annual All Hands On Deck Food Drive was a tremendous success.
Yesterday, the community came out to show their support for the Child Nutrition Network by donating cash and food to help make sure our local students had something healthy to eat at school.
Tyler Arsenault with CNN explains to us a bit about how that food you donated will be used.
From apples from the Apple Place or any of the food we had on our shopping list at area grocery stores, that food will not go in front of a Norfolk student starting in September.
A special thanks yesterday went to The Apple Place, The Real Canadian Superstore, Waterford Foodland, Mike’s No Frills in Port Dover, Wilkinson’s Independent Grocer in Delhi, and Roulstons Wellness Centre who let us set up shop and encouraged their loyal shoppers to donate.
Once we have the final numbers for how much food was collected and how much money was raised – we will provide you with that update.
