The Rotary Club of Simcoe have given some financial support to students in the area.
The Gord Watts Scholarship was established in 2012 for Norfolk County high school who plan on a post secondary education in the interdisciplinary fine arts.
Three local students received $1500 – an increase from the traditional $1000 they use to receive due to rising costs of tuition.
The following students received the Scholarship:
Kiara Barrow, Delhi, who will go to McMaster University (Integrated Arts), Daphne Huyge, Valley Heights, who will be attend Fanshawe College (Fine Arts) and Hannah Woodley, Holy Trinity, who will be enrolled at the University of Waterloo (Architecture).
