The West Haldimand General Hospital has declared a COVID-19 outbreak on the Inpatient Unit.
Three patients tested positive for COVID-19 with evidence of transmission showing it was isolated within one room at this time.
COVID-positive patients are being isolated to their rooms, enhanced cleaning has been implemented, contact tracing is ongoing, and patients are being monitored closely for COVID-19 symptoms.
Admission to the unit was restricted over the weekend by may begin loosing up at some point today.
Visitors are no longer permitted to enter the unit, except for Essential Care Providers in consultation with the patient’s care team.
