A shoplifter was hit by a car while fleeing the scene in Brantford.
Police say around $100 worth of packaged meat was stolen from a grocery store on Colborne Street East on November 13.
While the man was running from the scene on foot, a witness attempted to stop the theft by striking the shoplifted with his vehicle.
As a result, both Brantford men have been charged. The 33-year-old was charged with theft under $5,000, and a 25-year-old with dangerous operations, and assault with a weapon.
Minor injuries were treated at the scene.
