Brantford General Hospital has closed the B6 Medicine Inpatient Unit to visitors.
The change was made after the hospital went from zero to eight hospitalized COVID-19 cases in the last two weeks.
The B6 Unit is currently caring for COVID patients who require medical intervention, but do not meet the threshold for critical care.
Exceptions to the B6 Unit no-visitor policy may be accommodated for patients meeting the exceptional circumstances criteria, such as requiring support from an essential care partner or caregiver.
Families meeting the requirements for visitations are asked to contact the care team.
