Two individuals have been charged following a hit and run that involved a police officer being hit by a stolen vehicle earlier this week.
Members of the Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement Squad located both suspects in the City of Hamilton and took them into custody.
Daniel Robert Groulx, a 28-year-old from West Lincoln, is facing a number of charges.
They are as follows:
- Failure to stop after accident,
- Prohibited driving (two counts),
- Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle (two counts),
- Possession of stolen property over $5000 (two counts),
- Assault With a Weapon (two counts),
- Obstruct Police,
- Mischief over $5000,
- Fail to comply with probation order (two counts),
- Fail to comply with release order (two counts), and
- Drive while under suspension (two counts).
Also charged was a 15-year-old of West Lincoln. They were charged with two counts of possession of stolen property over $5,000 and obstruct police.
Both appeared in the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga on Wednesday afternoon.
