The Norfolk County Fair and Horse Show is happening this October.
The fair made the official announcement, saying it will move forward with safety protocols and many of the traditional favourite attractions.
October 5th will be the first day of the 7 day event, with it of course being Young Canada Day.
That means free admission for students, but what the day looks like beyond that is not known at this time.
Fair General Manager George Araujo says they are working with the World’s Finest Shows and our local Health Unit to bring back everyone’s favourite attractions, but understanding there may need to be some modifications.
More information will be released in the coming weeks including details like online admission, grandstand shows as well as competitions that are being offered.
Competitions in Livestock, Horse Shows, Homecraft and Photography are all in the final stages and entries will be online.
The release continued saying discussions with the Fair Food Vendors and Exhibitors have them looking forward to returning to Norfolk with all social distancing and safety protocols in place.
We will be speaking with Araujo later this morning and providing a follow up to this release.
