Dogs attending the Don Shay Memorial Dog Park have recently been coming down with kennel cough.
That according to listeners who have contacted the station.
Al Brown, an avid user of the park, said his dog, Keeta, is experiencing her first round of presumed kennel cough.
Brown hasn’t taken his dog to the park for a week and a half, to avoid spreading the illness.
The pair have been daily users of the park for nearly ten years.
He said the best way to avoid the spread to more dogs at the park is to keep your dog home if you think they may be ill.
Symptoms to look for in your dog include a persistent cough, sneezing, or a runny nose.
Dog owners that want more information can reach out to others that use the park by searching for the group Don Shay Memorial Dog Park (aka: Simcoe Dog Park) on Facebook.
