The Church of God in Aylmer continues to defy public health orders.
The first weekend that saw church services limited to 10 people only in a building, a jam packed church service was held yesterday.
At one point, due to the number of people in attendance, the crowd was asked to squeeze closer together to make room for others to sit.
Politicians Derek Sloan and Randy Hillier as well as former nurse Kristen Nagel, three outspoken individuals in regards to the shutdown measures, attended the Sunday service and we hailed as heroes by the Pastor, with thunderous applause by those in attendance.
Hillier spoke briefly.
The Aylmer Police confirmed this morning that three people have been charged in regards to the breach of the current emergency order.
Two individuals were arrested for trying to interfere with police attempting to execute their duties.
Both were warned regarding obstruction and continued to interfere.
As a result, a 20-year-old man from Perth East Township and a 52-year-old female from Shakespeare were charged with Obstructing Police.
Another church participant charged towards a civilian reporter in an aggressive assaultive manner.
As a result, a 48-year-old male from Perth East Township was arrested for assault.
As for the gathering inside, police say several persons of interest were identified and charges for violating the emergency orders are being processed.
