Kaley’s Restaurant is making quite the splash on social media trying to help out a local family.
As we previously reported, Mike “Chicken” VanNetten contracted COVID-19 and is currently on a ventilator.
This lead to the community rallying to leave their porch lights on and a hockey stick out for Mike.
Kaley Horton wanted to do her part to help, like many others, and decided to use her skills.
Right now they have menu items Monday to Friday offering different Chicken meals for “Chicken” with a portion of the proceeds going towards the Vanetten family during this time.
The response has been amazing from the community and also abroad.
Horton says the idea is to keep this going as long as possible for the family, as long as there is interest, so keep an eye on their social media page for updates next week.
The restaurant has an online order option set up due to COVID-19 that has been a big time saver when it comes to these large orders.
With that, there has been a huge demand and should there be concerns about too many coming at the same time to pick up their order, they may switch to only taking orders over the phone to ensure timing is spaced out.
The menu can be found today showing today and tomorrow’s specials.
Likely, an updated menu will be put up next week.
