A protest on the Queensway caused quite the stir this weekend.
People from different parts of the province joined some local residents to express their views on lockdown, masks, and COVID-19 related subjects at the stoplights near Canadian Tire and the Real Canadian Superstore.
That was Dan Drouin of Brantford.
Drouin and the men and women who joined him believe that health measures, such as masks and lockdowns, do more harm than good for the residents of Ontario.
Public Health officials continue to acknowledge that while pandemic restrictions can have a toll on mental health, they are necessary in order to prevent the spread of the virus which can be deadly, especially to vulnerable populations.
Increased funding has been put aside for mental health-related programs, both provincially and federally, and recently CMHA put out a release asking the province for additional funding in the upcoming budget.
Behind Drouin, you could hear several people honking in support of their protest.
Several individuals rolled down their windows to express their opposition to their views as well.
