The former Port Dover Medical Centre has been deemed surplus property.
Norfolk County is looking for anyone interested in purchasing the building on St. George Street with applications online.
Norfolk County purchased this property for $600,000 in 2012 with the intended purpose of redeveloping it for the new Port Dover Branch of the Norfolk County Public Library.
The doctors who owned the facility sold it as they were set to move to a medical centre elsewhere.
A long history and variety of reasons lead to a substantial delay in a new medical centre.
The county agreed to lease the building back to the doctors, and other tenants, so they could continue to serve the community.
The new library was instead developed in space leased from the Grand Erie District School Board within the Lakeview Elementary School.
Now, after many years, the county is ready to move away from the property.
Offers to purchase can be submitted through a Registered Real Estate Broker or Sales Representative.
